Say Goodbye to March!

last day of March is here! It feels like it just started. Soon school will be out, and it will be wall to wall kids around here. I "think" I am up for it, lol.

A couple days ago I had to break up a fight between Cavin and Chason. They were fighting over an imaginary dog. Yup, You read it right. Fake. Invisible. But it somehow managed to get in the middle of them, and after the 2nd warning, I was forced to take the dog out of their room with me to spend time with our real dogs. The boys were fine after that, and life goes on.......

can you see the invisible dog?? He is snuggled inbetween Dazey and Jessie...........

Sick boys= tired mom

I am so tired of these sicky bugs making my kids miserable. My youngest 4 kids all have had fevers, runny noses, and vomiting. Caden is doing lots better now, and if it lasts as long as he has had it, then by tomorrow we should be seeing the light at the end. Cavin is feeling a little better today, and Chason and Trav are miserable still. And when they are miserable only mom will do, lol. But at least Travis slept last night. He really needed it. The night before he was up at 1 a.m, then fell back asleep at 1:45, then up again at 3 a.m., and finally went back to sleep at 5. But then Chason came in at 6 and woke him up, so they were both tired and sick all day long. And I was just tired, lol......but they are my kids and they needed me.

turkey for me, turkey for you

I love to eat the turkey in a big brown shoe.......

Ok yall know I love Adam Sandler, lol. I made a big ole' turkey dinner tonight, and of course had the thanksgiving day song in head the whole time.

Gobble gobble gee and gobble gobble giggle......I wish turkey only cost a nickle.

It was so good! Travis ate and ate and ate. Shelby tried to be the first to eat and ended up spilling her orange juice right into the turkey serving plate. Anyone ever had orange flavored turkey? Not too bad, lol. I rinsed it best as I could, but a lot of the white meat was tinted orange. We didn't care. My kids will eat anything.

Scott had Colby out in the garage helping him work on his truck. Colby looked so proud just to get his hands dirty. They had some good bonding time, and I am thankful for that. So Scott got his truck running, Colby got some knowledge, and they both got to see each other in a new light.

sicky bugs are here

Today was a rough day. Chase climbed in bed with me around 5:00 am, snuggled up, and quickly fell asleep. At 7:00 I got up to start the day and started waking up the kids for school. When I went into the boys room, the smell hit me first, and I suddenly knew what had wakened Chase. Can you say ewwwwww? LOL He had puked everywhere in his bed, and the poor little guy was too tired to tell me so he just got in bed with me. When I was cleaning up the second round of yuckies on my living room rug, I got a call from Colbys school and had to go pick him up because it started hitting him as well.  Then the fevers started.

Scott had it first, and then Haylee, now myself and 2 more kids are not feeling well. I just hope Travis escapes it. I guess I will find out soon......

8 is great!!

Hard to believe we're already a week into March. Soon school will be out for the summer and I will be busy trying to keep all the kids busy. Oh yeah and theres the other little matter of a new baby, lol. Yes, summer is going to be exciting and fun around here. I started going through baby clothes this past weekend. They needed to be sorted by size and season. It gets me excited to pull out all the little baby clothes. To think there will be a lil boy wearing it soon. I wonder what he will look like. How much hair he will have. How tiny his fingers will be. If he knows how loved and wanted he already is.

Soon June will be here and I will get to meet him.  I know seven is heaven, but eight will be great!

little monkeys

Sometimes I can hear the circus music being played in the background whenever my boys come running out of their room. I picture hoola hoops and streamers. And then sometimes it gets quiet when they sit and decide to build towers with their blocks. Or they snuggle on my lap and listen to a story. Right now its been a snake one that I have been reading over and over......and over......they are so quiet and really listen to the words. Its times like that I really love.

Our t.v. broke today. Its about 20 years old, so I guess we got a good run out of it. Oh joy, just what I have been hoping for.....something else to spend money on.

Look what my mom made for all my little boys. How cute is that? My mom is awesome. She is always puting everyone else first. I wish she'd do something nice just for her. She sure deserves it. Maybe I wil lhave to do something about that...................
