I was holding the baby in my arms today while he was sleeping, and trying to make room for Travis on my lap as well, when Chason comes in and wants to snuggle as well. Whats a mom to do? Well, make room of course! And the dog must get in on it as well, right? Then he insists Scott takes a picture of us, (which cracks me up) so here it is.
And on to some great news.........
I finally got a new dishwasher today. After many repairs our property management guy finally decided enough is enough and had a new one installed. i have been hand washing for over a week now, and it hasn't really been that that, even though I have done about 3 sink fulls a day. But I gotta say being able to put dishes in there without having to basically wash them before is nice. If it can keep up with us then its a great machine!
Now we are working on them to replace the upstairs toilet. After our waining in da house episode, it has over flowed 2 more times all over the bathroom floor. At least I was able to stop the water those times. A plumber came out today and cleaned out all the toilets, but tonight 1 of them still overflowed. The plumber recommended installing a new toilet, so hopefully the management agrees. We'll have to wait and see.

Christmas Tree
I wasn't ready to put up the tree yet. The kids, however, had other plans......
Christmas time is a time to count our blessings. Cavin, Chason, Haylee, Shelby and Troy, Colby and Travis, and Caden.....8 by my count. I am truly blessed.

Happy Birthday Dad!
My dad just celebrated his 66th birthday. The kids were all excited to pick out presents for him. Since my dad is so one-of-a-kind, he got very unusual presents.
The first......
His favorite drink! Colby made sure he got grandpa a mountain dew. The next present cracks me up. Shelby had been talking about getting it for quite a while, because she knows how much he likes it on EVERYTHING.
Seriously.....he got a big ass bottle of ketchup for his birthday. And what about his favorite treat? We couldn't forget that!
Hopefully he don't eat them all together, but I wouldn't put it past him either.
The kids made his cake, which by the way contained no cake at all, lol. It was 3 layered jello in a cake pan.
As you can see, it didn't last too long.
I love you dad and I hope you had an awesome Birthday!

Happy Thanksgiving!
We had dinner at my moms this year. It was the first time everyone sat together at 1 table for dinner. There was my 8, my nephew Matthew, my parents, my grandma, and Scott and myself . So, 14 people gathered around. My mom had the table extenders in, and I wanted them at my house all year long, lol.
Here is a pic of my kiddos at my parents house. As soon as I get the other pictures I took I will post them.

Spidey-kids?
So tonight as I am giving the boys a bath, I hear Caden and Shelby laughing behind me. Chason is getting his hair washed.....
And as I take one of Cavin, he notices Shelby and Caden behind me in the hallway. Now, he was talking and my camera in my phone just happened to catch him as he noticed them. This is what it caught.
Ready?
Seriously? It looks like a scene from a horror movie. I swear I didn't accidentally drop a hair dryer in the bath. He was about to laugh. And what did he see?
So now you know when I say I got to go, my kids are climbin' the walls.....you know I am serious.

Breaking Dawn
Guess what the girls and I did today??
That's right.........we finally got to go see Breaking Dawn, part 1.
And now we have to wait and wait, and wait some more, till part 2 comes out.
It was so much fun! I love the fact that my daughters are fun to hang out with. We can joke and spend time together without them strangling each other. A boy asked Haylee today if she'd be his girlfriend. She said yes, and it totally pissed Shelby off. She does not like the fact that Haylee got asked out first. Oh and I need to make clear, to "go out" in 5th and 6th grade terms, means they stare at each other when they see each other, and occasionally talk. It usually lasts 1-3 days. Anyways, Shelby thinks its dumb to "go out" in Elementary (which I totally agree lol) but still wants boys to ask her out so she can tell them no. Oye
After the movie we visited Grandma Great.
We even brought her some popcorn (too bad for you mom) and was able to relax and enjoy her company. After many, many, m a n y grandpa jokes, I figure the life circle is complete, and now my daughters can go forth and spread joy to so many others.......
What do call a cow with no legs?
Ground beef.
What do you call a dog with no legs?
Nothing----he won't come anyways.....
Actually, that one cracks me up.
My dad is one of a kind, and I hope he stays that way. In his own dorky way, he is awesome!

Yesterday was plain awful
You can say that again.......
It was the kinda day that I am thankful doesn't come along that often. I have been trying to catch up on laundry for 2 days, and had done about 11 loads. I need to buy some new towels because ours are literally falling apart, but after 10 years, I do believe we got our moneys worth out of them. I have been having to make sure I wash certain items every day, or they won't be there the next for whomever needs them. The little boys pants as well. They are wearing the same size, so I am in short supply. I usually do 2-3 loads a day no matter what, and I have still managed to fall behind. I was happy to see the floor in the laundry room again, and was busy with the baby and trying to stuff the dishwasher full as possible because I only had enough soap for 2 loads, knowing I wouldn't make it to the store until Monday when Scott goes back working nights and I get my car back.
Sharing 1 car sucks btw........
Anyways, I hear this weird pounding. Like we were being hit with a hail storm. I stare at the windows while Chason is yelling over and over again.
It's waining in da house.
It's waining in da house.
That's when I turn around and see water gushing out of the light fixture and onto the wood floors in the living room. I had Troy in his big toy almost under the water. Water is splashing off of the floor and hitting him in the legs and all over his toys. I run upstairs to the bathroom where I find Haylee yelling, I'm cleaning it mom! I'm cleaning it mom!
All I see is an inch of water on the floor, seeping out into the hallway on the carpet, every single clean towel we own on the floor floating, and water constantly pouring out of the toilet.
I'm cleaning it mom! -Haylee
It's waining in da house! -Chason
Ewwwww! That's toilet water?? -Shelby
Shelby, grab some bowls! -me
That's whats going on over and over while I am turning the water off to the back of the toilet and trying not to vomit from the smell. So I run back downstairs, move the baby, empty the bowls and put them back because its still waining in da house. I go back up to the bathroom, tell Haylee to wring out all the towels in to the tub, grab the plunger, and try many many times to get it unclogged. After 30 minutes with no luck, I move onto cleaning. I go downstairs to get the bathroom cleaners from under the sink, peek on the waterfall in the living room and was happy to see it had finally stopped, and I realize I now have a ton of large bowls and no dishwasher soap. Awesome. I turn on the light in the pantry to grab some plastic sacks, when Shelby's cat looks up at me then bolts. I look down to where she was standing and realize she has now shredded all my plastic sacks and pissed on them. Cat urine? Really? Life is soooo good sometimes it simply amazes me.
Chason is still dancing around the house chanting in his underware, because I was just about to bathe all the boys before the chaos started. I try a couple more times to plunge the toilet when Scott calls. "Hey babe, how's your night going"? I was close to tears before and now they are welling up in my eyes. The baby starts crying as if he knew he had to beat me to the punch. I start my shpill about what an exciting life I lead when Shelby walks in and tells me to hand her the baby and kids shampoo. She says shes gonna take them down to her room and bathe all the boys for me. Bless her. So I finish up cleaning in the bathroom, scrub my hands, then make the baby his bottle. I feed him, lay him down, try 1 last time to plunger the toilet......and it worked! Yay! I had Colby downstairs mopping away and Shelby had all the boys dressed in their jammies. I kissed them goodnight, threw in a load of laundry, gathered up all the toys that were in the living room and put them in the sink, then cloroxed my pantry.
So now its Sunday morning, I have 4 more loads of laundry to do, a sink full of dishes, and no car to go to the store and get more soap. So I will make due with what I have, buck up and keep a smile on my face. All I have to think of is Chason dancing in his underware. It's waining in da house!

Poor Colby
It was a busy day as usual today. I did 5 loads of laundry, took Colby to a doctor appt, went grocery shopping, went to 2 different banks, stopped at my moms twice, and attempted to keep the house picked up all in between. Oye.........
Colby hurt his foot last summer when he crashed his bike and landed really weird on the pavement. He limped all the way home, and put his foot up with an ice pack. Well, since then he's had football practice daily, Friday games, did tons of yard work, and walked home from school a few times......all with what we found out was a broken foot!
The x-ray showed a break that has healed slightly, then been re-injured time and time again. He hasn't complained other then saying it was sore a couple times after a game, but that's it.
Sometimes he's a little too tough!

Spaghetti faces
The boys go straight from the table to the tub whenever I make spaghetti for dinner.
And of course I get to clean spaghetti hand prints off the bathroom walls. But it's ok. For some reason when I look at these kids smiling faces i can't seem to get annoyed, lol

Sunday
well Sunday is here. I have the music up on my computer, and all the kids are busy doing their chores. Well, except for Haylee as she is exempt today because of her throwing up all morning. (too much pizza) I listen to lots of different types of music. From George Strait, to Metallica, to the Plain White Tee's. The radio is almost always on around here. When its not, its just too quiet for me. I guess that comes from having 8 lil monsters always yacking away.
I just finished cleaning the kitchen and putting my chicken in the oven for my Enchiladas tonight. The 2 youngest kids are sleeping in my room, and right now its pretty calm around here.
But give it 10 minutes and I am sure things will change.......

Giddy
When we get giddy.........fun things happen
I take pics of things........
just for fun........
or to torture an innocent child.
Don't worry. Colby totally deserved getting ganged up on by me and the girls.
Least we're fun, right?

Venting.....
I have a little vent today. I really don't like to complain about things, because I don't really see what it accomplishes, but today I am gonna see if this quits nagging at me if I just get it out.
I absolutely hate it when people ask me if my baby is a "good" baby or not, and when I answer with "he's a great baby! He's always so happy, and doesn't fuss that often, sleeps well....etc......"
And they reply with, "well that's because he HAS to be."
Because with so many kids in my family he must not get any attention, right? If he's fussy he'll just be ignored anyway, right? Colby was a really good baby. He was my first baby and didn't have to compete for anything, he was just a easy-going baby. Travis was my 7th baby and was always fussy until he was about 10 months old. He woke up every 2-3 hours no matter what and always had to be held or entertained. Even though he was the youngest and had so much attention, he was a fussy baby. I don't see how being the youngest automatically means he is the forgotten one. I must always be so busy that the poor kid never gets a second thought. Arrrrgggg!!
Some kids are easy going, some are not. That's life.
That's my rant.

Cavin and Chason
Its almost Cavin and Chason's Birthdays. My 2 little babies are going to be 4 and 5 years old. They do everything together. They are each others best friends. I hope it stays that way! Here they are at 10 months and 22 months old.
And 1 and 2 in this one........
Best of friends and brothers. If you see one, the other is not far away. As they grow up and throughout their lives, I hope they will always continue to have this bond.

It was a Taco Tuesday
Wanna see what happens when an almost 2 year olds taco falls apart?
He was not very happy. Once Travis is mad, there's no going back.
Next he threw what was left of it on the floor. Can't wait for Spaghetti night. Oye........
